Great Dixter in July (East Sussex)

Yes, as I promised last week, after Pashley Manor and Merriments, we meandered further towards the coast and found ourselves with the pleasure to encounter a walk around Great Dixter.

My previous visits: No. 1, No. 2, No. 3.

As usual, it was a riot of planting, with some paths seemingly impassable.

I was particularly taken aback by the yellow borders in this part of the garden.

I’m not sure if it was me who was wonky when taking the picture above, or just the house!

We bought a lettuce, fresh from the allotment, and after a long rest and a warm cup of tea from the cafe besides the nursery (where (tip) prices were 1/3 cheaper than the nursery at Merriments, for the same plants), set off back to London.

When visited: July 2017
