Sledmere House (East Yorkshire)

I’ve been otherwise distracted for the last few months – doing some exams.

It’s time to catch up on posting photos of some of the houses that I visited last summer.

Sledmere is a Georgian carcass, housing an Edwardian interior dating from after a destructive fire.  The double-walled garden is why we revisited after an 8-year hiatus, and it has recently had modern planting injected.

I forgot my camera during my visit, so any photos are thanks to the iPhone.

The gardens

When visited: August 2016

This is another house that thankfully I visited during 2016 using my HHA cards, before “no HHA cards” ban
