  1. Scampston Hall is very pleasant but the walled garden, grounds and parkland trails are a real pleasure to visit. Capability Brown was certainly a genius – even though I must admit to having visited only during the British summer.

    And the Garden Cafe is a fun garden setting for a summer lunch.
