Dalmeny House (Scotland) – of French porcelain & Napolean

This house provides a resting place for an entire room of fine French porcelain and another room of Napolean memorabilia.  It sits on the edge of the water, nr Edinburgh.

It is a quiet house, where there are signs of the owners caring for the fabric.  However, remarkably at this house, it’s the contents that take centre stage, which is increasingly rare in a world where owners rely on keeping the valuable bits away and just leaving the empty contents, big bits of furniture and a few pictures for the visitors to look at.
