Hopetoun House (nr Edingburgh)

We ate scones with cream on the front terrace.

We climbed to the roof to admire the river views.

A sampler chair caught my eye.

I closed my eyes and imagined candle light shimmering in the luminacity of the golden walls of the dining room.

We wandered around, alone, unbothered by room guides or other tourists.  Where is everyone?

I recommend visiting.
