Capel Manor Gardens (North London): hidden inspiration

Source: mycacti.info

If you haven’t visited either Crews Hill (a whole street of Garden Centres) or Capel Manor Gardens (at the end of the street), and you live within a couple of hours’ drive, then I implore you to call in.  I visited in 2012 but somehow deleted all my photos and so this post never made it live.

Capel Manor Gardens themselves comprise dozens of smaller gardens, including some retired from Chelsea Flower Show, providing inspiration and ideas for any level of gardener.

We were rather blown away.  Even better than entrance was free with Historic Houses Association cards (but I don’t think it is now).

We visited on our return into London from our June 2012 East of England trip so were rather ‘gardened out’, but I won’t hesitate to visit again.

They also host a myriad of special events, the Bonsai ones attracting me in particular (I haven’t shared much this obsession of mine yet but it is there, lurking).

When visited: June 2012
