Two weeks in the West Country

In 2009 I made a trip to the West Country, via Winchester, Poole, Dartmoor, The Isles of Scilly, St Ives and Bath.

I stumbled upon my pictures.

How many places can you guess?

Sadly, I didn’t take pictures at Pencarrow, Castle Drogo, St Michael Mount, RHS Rosemoor, Sand, Trewithen or in Bath, Poole or Winchester – those were the days when if it rained, I didn’t get the (rubbish) camera out.

One day we’d like to return to this part of the world, but next time in May, to capture all the camellias & rhododendrons.

Did you spot Clovelly, Tresco Gardens, St Agnes and Eden (and a cheeky meerkat at Longleat)?

When visited: July 2009

  1. The one photo of a townscape looks really fantastic…picture perfect even. But it looks very steep, all the way down to the sea. How do the elderly get around or pregnant women or people with babies in pushers?
